THERE’S STILL ROOM FOR YOUNG ACTORS TO JOIN THE FUN AT DFT SUMMER PERFORMANCE CAMPS! DFT’s one-week Storytelling Camp begins on Monday, August 6th. Register Today.
We’re having a great time in our final two-week acting camp – and it’s hard to believe our performances will be this weekend! We’ve got two one-act, original plays to make you laugh and gasp with surprise.
When Mrs. Thompson’s 5th grade class goes on a camping trip in the Smokey Mountains, they’re supposed to learn about nature. But someone leaves poems on post-it notes all over the campsite, saying that a certain 5th grade boy likes the color pink. And they learn instead that we all have secrets
Lost on Grandmother Mountain during a big storm, five reluctant campers take shelter in an abandoned farmhouse – but the door opens all by itself, there’s a fire in the fireplace and strange “meowing” wakes them at midnight. “OMG!” They’re caught in the middle of a ghostly cycle. How will they get out?
Shows are accessible, free and open to the public. Bring your friends and family: Friday, August 3 & Saturday, August 4 at 7:00 pm at Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church, corner of Trinity Ave. & Gregson Street, downtown Durham. Please park in the Gregson Street lot and enter the church at the doors beside the playground.
