Can you tell me more about the storytelling mini-camp? What is involved in the daily schedule?
Dear Caroline, It’s going to be so much fun! Recently I’ve been teaching a class for teens and adults on Storytelling for Actors – it has given me the chance to teach some of what I’ve learned from adding 25 years of professional storytelling to a lifetime in the theatre.
In the camp we’ll play storytelling & acting games, learning how to invent and perform/tell our own stories using structures from the oral tradition (i.e. folktale, realistic adventure, fairy tale, legend, myth and parable.) My goal is for each camper to tell a short story at our end of camp performance on Friday evening – family & friends invited. Thanks for asking.
Warmly, Jenny Justice
